• WELCOME TO BLACK MOUNTAIN HOME – Begun in 1904 as Mountain Orphanage, the Home began its ministry taking in children whose parents had died or disappeared. Today, we serve youth from birth through college graduation and beyond through family foster care, residential care, transitional living, and independent living.

Since opening our Ray Campbell Independent Living Village in 2008, 89% of the teens in our care have graduated from high school or obtained a GED. Now, we are expanding the Village to include a Student Life Center, where students can continue to learn, grow, and thrive as they learn skills that prepare them to enter the workplace making a living wage.

Construction cost for the Student Life Center containing classrooms, worship space, kitchen, fitness center, and more is $900,000. With your help, we can raise the final $150,000 needed to break ground soonl! Make your donation today and be the bridge to the future that our youth need!
