Volunteering
Black Mountain Home has more than 2,000 volunteers each year from across the United States. Some of our current volunteer needs are:
- Tutoring in our Study Hall
- Doing yard work
- Teaching a special skill or craft
Please call or stop by the main office to obtain a volunteer application. The office number is 828-686-3451. Please note that all volunteers who work directly with the children must have a background check before being approved. The cost for a NC background check is $5--out-of-state costs vary.
